One Hundred and Five

It's been 105 days since I posted on the blog.

1.0.5.

I almost can't believe it, except I can.

In no particular order, I've been distracted by the following:

My wife's car accident over a year ago.  Which finally led to back surgery a few months ago.  Which led to another procedure last month.  Which has done exactly nothing to make her better.  She's not paralyzed and she wasn't killed, but thanks to a 17 year old girl who was most likely texting, my wife will never be the same.  Pain.  All the time.  I hope the text was a great one.

My now just over a year as supervisor of the group I used to be a part of.  I love the job, but I really have to work now and quite honestly do not know how you guys find the time to blog at all.

My, and I know Judson will make fun of this, season long obsession with NPF.  That's National Pro FastPitch softball.  It started out when I heard that Cat Osterman was going to be pitching for the USSSA Pride against the Dallas Charge on June 6th.  I went to the game and met Cat and the other players and got autos from a bunch of them.  My obsession for Team USA stuff led me to the game to meet Cat and I ended up going to three (I think) other games.  I will be writing up a post on all of that in the near future.

I really got into the TTM thing during Spring Training and beyond and once a few baseball cards started rolling in, I started sending stuff out to Team USA members and I've gotten some amazing stuff back.  Again, a post for the future.  Sooner rather than later.

Bunt.  As in Topps Bunt.  I got sucked in and I'm actually looking forward to the season being over so I can write about it.  Not that anyone wants to hear it, but I'm going to write it anyway.

I sorta stopped buying cards.  Just a little burnout.  I sent Jon from Community Gum $20 to buy me some Senators at the National.  I bought a few blasters and my mother-in-law bought me a couple of blasters of "football" cards.  If you follow me on Twitter (@patpdude), you might know what I'm talking about.

That's it in a nutshell.

Oh yea, and I signed up for Gint-A-Cuffs and just didn't get around to getting a box to open.  So, I guess I'm out by default.

I hope to see you all back here very soon.
