Then I found these at Wal-Mart.
The retail price...$8.98. I bought 4 of these, 3 for me and 1 to give away as the October prize. You can still enter the contest here. At least until I get to work tonight you can.
This special value pack (right) contains 3 packs of 2010 Chrome (4 cards/pack) and 3 "Exclusive Refractors" in their own special clear package. These "Exclusive Refractors" are a dark orange color.
Here are my 3 "Exclusive Refractors".
A New York Yankee and Mickey Mantle at that.
The first pack also had:
Jose Lopez, refractor
Jake Arrieta
Drew Storen
Pack 2:
Joe Mauer
Nick Markakis X-Fractor--This one is going to Beardy because I've been sick and haven't mailed his Andrew Jones Ginter auto yet like I promised I would.
Hideki Matsui
Denard Span
Pack 3
Alex Rios
Jorge Posada Blue Refractor #17/199 (1:191 packs)
Andrew Cashner
Bryan Anderson
So overall, the refractors are nice.
I already opened my 3 packs plus a blaster I bought as a comparison. You'll have to wait on the comparison though.
I hope whoever wins that other rack pack hits a good card.
I'll do the randomization tonight. Good luck and go get entered if you haven't already.
Awesome. I'll be waiting by the mailbox!
ReplyDeleteOh, and it's Adam Jones, not Andruw. Not that it matters too much. You were probably getting your underachievers mixed up.
Wow, that's a lot of Yankeeness. Hopefully the prize rack pack is devoid of that nonsense.
ReplyDeleteThose look really really nice! Guess I'll have to make a detour to Walmart on the way home from work today!
ReplyDeleteNice - you open the Yankees rack pack, so we don't have to. Thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteBeardy, of course it was Adam Jones. I'll blame it all on the decongestant. That thing came with a dose cup, but it's easier to drink out of the bottle.
ReplyDeleteGreen death flavored Nyquil? I hope so.
