Hopefully you've already entered part one of this contest posted earlier this morning. If not, there is still time so go and enter. Part 2 of this Special Edition Opening Day contest will probably take a little longer than Part 1.
With one exception, these gentlemen all have something in common. Do you know what it is?
If you said it had something to do with race, shame on you! No, all of these guys have a shot a being the first 10 Game Winner in the League this year. Ok, maybe not Jamie Moyer, but you never know. Hopefully you didn't use up all your predicting mojo this morning because you need to leave a comment with your prediction of who will be the first 10 Game Winner in the Majors this year.
Any and all MLB pitchers are eligible and may be picked by more than one person.
If more than one person chooses the correct pitcher, I'll use random.org to pick a winner. If more than one pitcher hits the magic number on the same day, I'll award a prize to one person from each pitcher's group. I'll give the same type of prize as the earlier contest. A pack or five and some cards that match up with your collection somehow.
Get guessing and good luck!
Johan Santana. He may be the Mets only 10 game winner.
ReplyDeleteHalladay, especially with that lineup hitting for him.
ReplyDeleteHalladay. He'll eat NL hitters alive.
ReplyDeleteChris Young
ReplyDeleteUbaldo Jimenez
ReplyDeleteFelix Hernandez
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go out on a limb and say John Lackey. He's going to be the best pitcher in baseball pitching in the 3 spot in the rotation and I think that may allow him to get to 10 first.
ReplyDeleteTimmy for the threepeat!
ReplyDeleteTim Lincecum! Now THAT'S going out on a limb people!
ReplyDeleteJon Lester. Because hey...why not?
ReplyDeleteRoy Halladay for sure.
ReplyDeleteDoc
ReplyDeleteHalladay
ReplyDeleteDoc Halladay.
ReplyDeleteFelix Hernandez.
ReplyDeleteIt often seems to be someone you don't expect. For that reason, I'm going with Mark Buehrle. It's just a feeling, one that's either going to lead me to untold riches or public embarrassment. ;)
ReplyDeletegotta go with Doc Halladay
ReplyDeleteUbaldo Jimenez--because the Rockies are my second favorite team--but please don't send me their cards.
ReplyDeleteChris Carpenter, obviously.
ReplyDeleteLincecum
ReplyDeleteAll Hail the King....Felix!!!
ReplyDeleteKevin Slowey
ReplyDeletedon't laugh - he almost did it last year
I too will be an optimist and go with Santana.
ReplyDeleteSantana.
ReplyDeleteThe Contest is now CLOSED to new entries. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey, I know I am too late for the contest, but in case it really happens, I wanted to go on record choosing Matt Garza... If he pitches like he did last night, dude will win 20!! Great idea for a contest dude!
ReplyDeleteJonathan at RGB cards...send me an email please. I can't comment on your blog posts and can't find an email for you.
