It happened 100 years ago....for the first time

April 14th, 1910. National Park, Washington D.C.

William Howard Taft becomes the first U.S. President to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game. The player on the other end of President Taft's historical pitch was Walter Johnson aka The Big Train.

The first president to successfully throw from the pitcher's mound was Bill Clinton in 1993 at Camden Yards.

I pulled a couple of cool Presidential Pitch cards. Both of these are from 2004 Topps Chrome.

Warren G. Harding--I think I traded this one to Beardy

John F. Kennedy
I like those refractors. I think it's time to hit the shop and pick up some more 2004 Chrome packs.

  2. Any chance JFK is for trade? I am working on the set, and the only other card I currently have is Harding (figures, since it came from you).

Please email me if it is available, and I will try my best to make it worth your while.
