West Coast Fail?

It is starting to look like we are going to see the West Coast fail against the East Coast in the quest to reach the World Series. I'm still hoping to see a collapse ala the 2004 Yankees, but it doesn't look promising.

The last time MLB had an all East Coast World Series was 2003 when the Florida Marlins beat the New York Yankees 4-2. Florida won two titles in seven years AND is two for two in World Series appearances.

The last time MLB had an all West Coast World Series was 2002 when the then Anaheim Angels beat the San Francisco Giants 4 -3. That also happened to be the last 7 game Series.

Go Dodger Blue! Normally I would wish mega failure on Vincente Padilla, but I'll root for him tonight.

  1. I am normally an East coast homer to a crazy degree, but my hatred for the Yankees and Phillies wins out. I have been rooting for the Angels and Dodgers so unbelievably hard, but to no avail... Through all the crazy twists and turns in my life, I have always cared about the World Series. Yanks V Phillies-I don't think I would care unless there was a way that they could both lose...
