$57.55

All you young whipper snappers who are new to blogging take note.  If you save up all your trade packages to mail at one time, it costs a lot of freakin' money.  It's all money well spent I suppose because making trades is what it's all about.

I scattered packages across the USA and the Great White North yesterday.

We've got Alaska, Calgary and then places south of the Arctic Circle.  Barely.  Some of you live in some cold places.  Of course, I'll be wishing I was there in August when it's 110 at my house.   If you see your neck of the woods on the map, you might be getting a package by the weekend.

I mailed 22 packages and my experience at the post office was funny.  I went well after lunch to avoid the crowd.   I went in and of course there was only one person working the counter.  The three people behind me were only buying stamps so I let the first two go ahead of me.  The lady working the counter said, you might as well come on up or you'll be waiting forever unless they send me some help.  I told her I had 22 packages and I would wait.  She looked crossways at me and went to the back.  A couple of minutes later, another person came out and helped me.  Was that so tough?  It worked out and I didn't have to feel the angry stares of everyone for holding up the line.

Thanks for all the trades everyone!

  1. I do all of my shipping after the windows close. My PO has a couple of self service machine. No pissing off people in line. Then again, can't say I have sent out 22 packages at once.

  5. I mailed 12 packages on Tuesday, but had to stand in line for only two of them which was appreciated by the 14 people in line behind me.

  6. I recently sent out about 35 packages from a case break and I thought I was coming it during a slow period--turned out that I did not. Thankfully, though, someone noticed my giant box of packages and grabbed an extra attendant. One thing of note. If each of your packages weighs the same, the process at the Post Office will go much faster and smoother.
