That's Swell

Over the last year and half or so, I've very slowly been in the process of organizing my obsession collection.  One portion of my collection that has been neglected is the growing number of oddball Rangers cards that find their way into my life.  Part of the reason is I haven't found a place that lists all the various oddball issues.  For now, they'll have to continue existing in an unorganized mess in their own special box.

Don't let my lack of organizational prowess scare you.  Feel free to send me all the oddball Rangers you can.  I think they're Swell.

 Swell

Kind of like Nick over at Dime Boxes.  He's Swell too.  Nick broke on the blogging scene in a big way a little over a year ago and it didn't take him long to make his mark.  His blog is engaging and entertaining and a must read.  I know many of us are jealous of his dime box finds.  I for one, don't think there is a dime box within a thousand miles of me.  He's responsible for these Swell oddballs.

 Sweller

The great Billy Sample sporting the GREAT old TR logo.  I love that logo.  It reminds me of my youth.  The parts I can still remember.

Swellest

Man, I am a sucker for the old uniforms.  My very first Rangers cap was just like that one.

I'm a winner!  Jeff  Huson said so.  When this card was issued in 1992, I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...well, under the Pacific Ocean and it took me 21 year to realize what a winner I was.  Very nice.

I don't even know where to begin with this 2007 Goudey monstrosity.  First up is His Smugness.  Then there is the weird hand numbering on the front.  It's a green back, but I don't get the numbering.  It's obviously super rare and worth about a bazillion credits on Listia.

Nick dropped a few 2013 Sea Turtle Topps parallels on me too, which is greatly appreciated.

I know Nick didn't find these Emerald parallels in a dime box.

Give it a few months and these will start showing up in those dime boxes and Nick will end up with the whole set for a song.

Nick hooked me up with several differnet Fergie Jenkins cards, but none brought a bigger smile to my face than this sweet '79.  I'm as happy as Fergie was in that shot.

You guys go check out Nick's Dime Boxes blog if you haven't already.  It will definitely be worth your time.

Thanks Nick!  We'll do another deal down the line.

I'll definitely be hunting for Rangers during my future dime box travels. :)
