I'm slowly getting my act together blog-wise. Some of the personal stuff is sorting itself out even though there are still health concerns aplenty. The trading fire has been rekindled and the writing has been therapeutic.
I guess you could say I'm regaining my focus.
Since I'm running a contest (what, you didn't see this mornings post?), I thought I would show off some winnings. Steve over at White Sox Cards sent me three team set bags stuffed with some cardboard goodness. The package was a result of this contest. When I won the contest, I didn't know A.J. Pierzynski would be a future Ranger. It's been suggested that I adopt A.J. as my new favorite Ranger. He's got to prove himself worthy of that high honor.
I didn't buy any of these Heritage Minor League cards so it's always fun to get one of the Rangers farmhands. Take a look at Deglan's expression. That's intense.
Ouch. Double edged sword. Nice low numbered insert, most hated former Ranger ever. I'll take it.
I was disappointed that Chris Davis didn't work out here, but unlike Josh Hamilton, I'm wishing him success. That's a nice Walmart black parallel. He really pops off the black background.
The good--a nice 2012 Bowman gold parallel of Michael Young. The bad--a future filled with trades reminding me Michael Young no longer plays for the Rangers.
Don't call it a comeback! Like Elvis here, I'm on a hot streak with three days in row of 2 posts/day. I don't know that I'd get too used to it. We'll just enjoy it while it lasts.
Steve, thanks for the great prize package.
