I think the offseason doldrums have set in and I've seen a couple people mention they are having a shortage of post ideas.
Is there anyone out there that wants to start a new Blog Bat Around? I've only participated once (or was it twice?) and don't really know the protocol for initiating such high minded endeavors.
Anyway, I've asked so many questions for contest posts, I don't have any good ideas.
Anyone want to throw one out there?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Newbie question, what is a blog bat around?
ReplyDeleteI've read a couple of the Night Owl's old blog bat around posts, but also am unsure what the protocol is for starting these.
ReplyDeleteI guess just post something on your blog and invite other bloggers to post their views on whatever subject you decide. I've never taken part in one, but I'm sure there are plenty of topics that could be discussed (for example, HOF ballot is always one which draws a lot of interest).
ReplyDeletea couple ideas
ReplyDelete-what do you do as a team collector when players leave your team (Pujols???)
-make a case for a Hobby HOFer that is not in the MLB HOF. Example: Mattingly not in the Hall, but if you are building a Hobby HOF, would he make it? (maybe more borderline cases like Will Clark, or until recently, Ron Santo)
-Where do you see the hobby in 20 years. What is the good, what is the bad and what is just different
I'm in whenever you decide to run it!
I've been thinking it may be time for another Bat Around. I can't come up with anything great though. .. I think I might have one. I'll post it tomorrow morning?
