1969 that is.
If you're here for some other reason than 1969 Topps, you probably have the wrong blog.
While I wait for the rest of my 2013 Chrome to trickle in, I thought I'd show one of my vintage Ebay purchases.
One of the sellers I was watching items for had this lot of 1969 Topps cards and I couldn't resist.
I don't know if I got a good deal at $3.75 including shipping, but I was happy to add to 4 cards to my vintage catcher collection.
Doesn't Randy Hundley look happy to be a part of my collection? I thought so too.
I'd say that was a good deal. An Alou brother, and Joe Torre in his player days, plus a few catchers. What's not to like.
ReplyDelete1969 was by far the most happening year of the 20th century. But I am biased.
ReplyDeleteYep, a fantastic deal for 6 pretty good looking cards...
ReplyDeleteNice pick-up !
ReplyDeleteI like '69.......the year I graduated !
I could use that Sanguillen if you ever need to part with it
ReplyDeleteMonetarily... can't make a judgement on whether it's a good deal or not, since I know little about 69T values. But if it brought a Mr. Hundley type of smile to your face when you received this package... then I say you ripped the guy off. I'd pay $3.75 every day of the year if I knew it'd make me happy. Nice purchase buddy.
ReplyDeleteRandy Hundley sure looks happy!
ReplyDeleteI used to have the Sanguillen and now I don't. :(
