I got back from a week in beautiful Colorado. It was amazing and the whole family had a great time. It made the 12 hour drive (each way) worth it.
I'm going to try to get caught up on trades and comments in the coming days.
While in Colorado, we were able to go to a Rockies/Cardinals game...my first ever National League Game. It had the most exciting finish of any game I've ever seen in person. I'll be doing a long delayed recap of our experience after I announce the winner of the July contest.
Ready for the contest? I thought so.
My oldest son has become quite the autograph hound and wants to go to every game early and stand down by the dugout in hopes of scoring some autos. He's had good success at both of the Rangers games we've been to this year (Nelson Cruz twice) and he had another success at the Rockies/Cardinals game.
All you have to do to enter is guess the Rockies or Cardinals player who signed for him this time. Easy enough? If more than one person guesses the right player, I'll randomize the names to get a winner. As usual, the winner will receive a few unopened packs and an assortment of other cards according to their collecting preferences.
Entries will be accepted up to Tuesday night and then I'll post a winner and recap on Wednesday.
I'm gonna say Todd Helton, heard he's a good signer, so thats my guess.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to post Todd Helton also. I will stick with that guess.
ReplyDeleteJason Giambi... wow has he been on a tear. A week ago, he was batting .216... 3 for 5, 4 for 4, and 2 for 3 nights, he's up to .277 for the season.
ReplyDeleteMatt Holliday or Jeff Francis. I heard they're pretty good signers.
ReplyDeletecolby rasmus
ReplyDeleteDexter Fowler
ReplyDeleteI think there should be entries into the contest for just coming up with a Rockies name other than Helton....
I'm going to say Pujols. Why not?
ReplyDeleteColby Rasmus
ReplyDeletematt holliday
ReplyDeleteCarlos Gonzalez
ReplyDeleteChris Carpenter since nobody has guess a pitcher yet.
ReplyDeleteUbaldo Jimenez, it worked before
ReplyDeleteStreet cause every time I go to a game only releivers sign autos and Street is the only Rockies releiver I know.
ReplyDeleteVerification = Hoommeri
Brenden Ryan. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who is good at signing what:
ReplyDeleteMelvin Mora.
Mark McGwire
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll go with Matt Holliday of the Cards, and Clint Barmes of the Rockies.
ReplyDeleteI like Melvin Mora too, he was a pretty good signer in Baltimore last year.
ReplyDeleteJim Tracy
ReplyDeletewait you said player, Ok Aaron Cook
ReplyDeleteAdam Wainwright
ReplyDeleteI'll say Skip Schumaker.
ReplyDeleteHuston Street
ReplyDeleteI'll say Ubaldo Jimenez. I was at that game and at batting practice. A young fan threw a ball and a sharpy on the field where Ubaldo was and he signed it for him. Maybe it was Brian's boy?
ReplyDeleteWait!! Do we only have one chance to guess?? LOL! I now remember Brian saying something specific in an email about being at that game.....hum.... Good Luck all!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with Matt Holiday. He's been good to me in the Ginta-a-Cuffs and I think he'll be good to me here.
ReplyDeleteThe contest is closed...winner to be announced in the morning!
