Is anyone else disturbed by what you see when you go here. Sure they have a nice 1953 Topps Jackie Robinson on top...but every other card pictured is from the 1989 set. Even in that little see-through binder on the left. That makes a lot of sense because cards were so over-produced in 1989, they could probably give away a million of those pretty easily.
Does it say anywhere that they are giving away at least one of every Topps card ever made? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I think everyone pretty much expected this already. At least it's a giveaway that won't cost anything if you never actually 'redeem' your cards, so no loss. It's a no-lost lottery! Even if you do "win", I'm sure the cards will be embossed with some sort of logo, so no matter what you're not getting anything truly valuable, though I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteI am totally expecting nothing but cards from 1988-2002, but like Joe S said, it doesn't cost anything.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a pretty neat promotion and someone out there is going to get some neat cards....
Yeah, I'd expect maybe one decent card out of every 100 redeemed. But even that card probably won't be worth the cost of getting it shipped to us. Still seems fun to me. Topps packed a lot of fun into the 2010 boxes.
ReplyDeleteI hope we are all supprised by some decent cards but like most I don't expect to much. Free cards are a good thing though unless the hammer us on shipping. I guess we will all find out tomorrow.
