August Contest: Part 2

At the time I wrote this, new Rangers pitcher Ryan Dempster was supposed to make his Rangers debut tonight.

Predict how many wins Dempster has for the Rangers the rest of the season.  I'm not interested in how many wins he had for the Cubbies, just from here to the end of the regular season.  As a tie-breaker, pick his ERA the rest of the way too.

I'll come back at the end of the season and give a bonus prize to the person who picks the closest to the correct number of wins.

  1. 6, ERA 2.97

Think he'll fit well in Arlington!

  2. Let's see, 59 games to go, so about 12 starts. We'll give him 7 wins, and a 2.99 ERA

  3. Im going to shoot higher on this one and say 8 more wins and a 3.33 ERA.

  4. He's going to more or less replicate what Rick Sutcliffe did for my Cubs back in '84, but with fewer pitching opportunities. So, I'm going with 9 wins and a 2.67 ERA.

I know it's highly improbable, but I'm you wouldn't mind if it actually happened!

  5. figuring he should get 10 or 11 starts and there an above .500 team that can score lets go with 6 and the ERA will be 4.75 for the Rangers. Go ANGELS!! lol

  7. 3 wins, 5.64 ERA

I think he'll win a lot of 10-9 games, but it won't look pretty.
