The August contest is in the books.
We had 189 entries, including the extra entry for the 14 people who read all the way to the end of this post.
The first question I asked for the contest was about which value pack you'd rather get, Bowman Platinum or Allen & Ginter. I had one of each standing by for the winner. Well, I randomized a winner and immediately opened the value pack he didn't pick. So, if you picked Bowman Platinum, you won't have to scroll down to see if you are the winner.
Here are the "highlights" of my Bowman Platinum value pack.
Gold
I'm guessing this is an X-Fractor of Cory Spangenberg. It doesn't say X-Fractor, but it has that familiar pattern. Why can't they just tell me what it is? Don't they know how easily distracted I get?
That was pretty much it except for the purple parallels. I got this Billy Hamilton.
And this Wily Peralta.
Oh yea, I got some guy names Starling Marte too. This card really pops even though it's not the best picture. Must be that bright jersey.
It's no secret that I'm not a Bowman fan, but I actually like these Platinum cards. I just don't know most of the prospects.
Now, on to the randomizer to get the winner of the August contest.
I randomized three times, as usual, and came up with this list.
Congrats to Martyn who runs the blog Arbitrary Crap.
Thanks to everyone for participating this month.
Get to know Billy Hamilton. He's a fund prospect to watch. 127 stolen bases and counting this season between A and AA.
