August Contest: Part 3

Welcome to part 3 of the August Contest.

You can still go back to the first two posts if you missed out on them.

What is the best card you've acquired this year?  It could be one you pulled or bought for yourself.

See, short and simple.

35 comments:

  1. I pulled a Carlos Gonzalez auto out of 2012 Gypsy Queen, not a huge card but a nice pull for a Rockies fan.

  2. Definitely the authentic Cy Seymour tobacco card I received thanks to the generosity of a fellow collector. (Which I recently blogged about.)

  3. My Ginter original is probably the best card, or else the Bryce Harper auto redemption (that I immediately sold).

  4. Babe Ruth jersey relic purchased off ebay.

  5. 1964 Topps #541. Not naming names because it'll be in a future post and I wanna keep it a surprise.

  6. Bought it last Saturday. '56 Duke Snider.

Best pull? Probably an auto of Alcides Escobar out of a pack of Opening Day (not easy to do).

My favorite was the "well loved" '78 Molitor & Trammell rookie card I traded for on my baseball trip.

  10. A Ginter George W. Bush auto was by far the best pull of my collecting life. Not sure I could pull something better than a signature of an ex-president.
