A first for my collection courtesy of Drew

This is the second trade Drew (of Drewscards) and I have pulled off. I owe Drew a HUGE apology because his first package was one of those I received in the early days, before I was blogging. I promised everyone I traded with that I would eventually post their packages when I started the blog. Unfortunately, the cards Drew sent got mixed in with my collection and I never was able to determine which cards he sent. I felt bad, but Drew understood. I promised him that the next package he sent me would be moved straight to the front of the line. Well, here is the front of the line. Drew really hooked me up and sent me a card that is a first for me.

This nifty Rangers tattoo came out of 2008 Topps Opening Day and although I won't stick it on my arm or anywhere else, I will find a spot in a binder for it.



Love or hate the Opening Day cards, but this 2008 Topps version of Jarrod Saltalamacchia one is funny. I'm not normally a fan of players backs on cards, but being able to see Jarrod's entire last name on his jersey is nice. Just don't do it again Topps.

Kason Gabbard played in 20 games for the Rangers over two seasons, 2007 and 2008. This 2008 Topps Gold version may be the highlight of his time here. He does have the distinction of being the first player listed under the letter "G" when you sort all MLB players by last name.

This is the first Shining Through insert I've ever seen from the 2004 UD Power Up set. It says right on the back it is worth 50 points so that must be good.

Now we're talking. A 2005 Donruss Team Heroes Michael Young. I didn't have this one, but now I do and that makes me happy.

Here is another nice Michael Young. This is a 2005 Fleer Showcase Young and I recently busted an 8 pack discounted blaster and this was one of the only two Rangers I pulled.

Here is one of those Manupatches that Topps was kind enough to foist upon us. I'm not a fan, but any Rangers, Nolan Ryans, or any players from my player collections are good. I haven't seen a checklist, but I'd take any from the 1995 All-Star game that was played in Arlington as well. Here comes the best one of the bunch.

Thanks to Drew, I now have my first Sweet Spot Autograph. It happens to be Marlon Byrd who happens to no longer be a Ranger, but I don't care. I really like it. Hopefully it won't start fading like some autos did from 2007.
